How were you feeling about your brand and your business before the Brand Plan?

“I didn’t know what to say. And that could sound weird—because it’s my business, right? I built it. But I hit this point where I realized: I don’t know how to talk about what I do in a way that actually connects.”

Was there a moment when you thought, I can’t keep doing it like this?

“I was literally sitting at my dining room table watching your stories and just thought: what I’m doing isn’t working. I either need to stay confused and just keep painting—or finally do something different.”

Katrina loved her work, but she knew her business couldn’t grow without clarity.

What stopped you from moving forward before?

“I didn’t think I brought much value beyond my art. I didn’t think people wanted to hear from me or see the other parts of what made my work unique.”

She felt pressure to keep her business separate from the rest of her life—but that didn’t reflect who she was. “My business is just a piece of what I do. It’s not separate from the rest of me.”

What made The Brand Plan different?

“Other programs asked all the questions—why did you start, what’s your history, who do you serve—but I was past that. The Brand Plan helped me take everything I’d already built and actually make sense of it.”

The difference wasn’t just in the strategy. It was the support.

“This wasn’t a workbook and a see-you-later. It was real-time feedback. It was someone helping me see what was already there and pull it forward. That’s what I needed.”

What shifted once you were inside the cohort?

“The moment that stands out the most was creating my storylines. I remember saying, ‘This is too easy.’ Because it finally felt natural. I had words for what I’d been trying to say forever.”

Once those storylines clicked, everything else did too—from her YouTube strategy to her brand direction.

“Now when I have a thought or idea, I know which bucket it goes in. I know if I need to share it or not. I’m not second-guessing everything anymore.”

The big aha: This is possible.

“I’m good at what I do. But I needed someone to help me take a step back and actually see it.”

“The Brand Plan framework made it possible for me to keep going in my business. I don’t think I’d still be here without it.”

Katrina didn’t just gain brand clarity—she redesigned her offers, launched her brand color analysis service, created a brand-specific product suite, and built a website that finally reflected her level of expertise.

“I’ve referred back to it so many times. It’s not one of those things you do once and forget. When I have a question—when I start second-guessing—I just go back to my framework. I check in, and it answers the question before I even need to ask someone else.”

What would you say to someone who is still DIYing things and on the fence about joining the brand plan?

“You can’t do that. I mean, you can try. But the Brand Plan isn’t just a list of questions—it’s a framework that anchors your entire brand and marketing. So when you don’t feel like showing up? You know what to say.”

“It’s what I come back to anytime I’m unsure. It’s the thing that helps me move forward. And I can’t imagine running my business without it.”
