There was more than a fifty percent chance of storms all day. We prayed the entire week that it would go away, at least long enough to have the ceremony outdoors and to keep Brooke’s dress dry. And you know what! The Lord came through! The sun shone through the clouds and the rain stopped in time for Andrew & Brooke to get married underneath the gazebo like they had planned! Everything about their day was beautiful! From the tears before the ceremony as bridesmaids prayed over Brooke to way that Andrew smiled as his bride made her way down the aisle. There were so many moments that created such a special day for these two and I think that the most amazing thing to witness was how they glorified the Lord in every little thing.
Rainy days are typically not great for weddings, (or photographers for that matter!) but Brooke and Andrew took the challenge in stride! They embraced the unknown and didn’t worry one bit. I think that is just a testament to who they are! They didn’t have to worry about whether the sun would come out, if the rain would stop or even where all the guests were going to go because they trusted that the Lord had it all under control. And he did, he took care of them! I can’t think of a better way to start out a marriage than with that kind of faith and trust in God!
The story of how these two met was told multiple times throughout their day and each time it made me smile! If you haven’t read about it in their engagement session blog post, here’s a recap for you. – Andrew & Brooke met at a scholarship interview their senior year of high school. While they were waiting for their individual interviews, the receptionist encouraged them to talk. They learned about each others plans for college and what sports they each played, but that was as far as they got that day. A little while later, and with some help from friends, Andrew requested to follow Brooke on Instagram. When Andrew’s birthday rolled around, Brooke decided to send him a message wishing him a happy birthday and you could say that the rest is history!
It is evident that Andrew and Brooke are loved by so many and that they love well in return. They value people and cherish each other. They honor the Lord and place him first in everything. Andrew & Brooke, thank you for giving me the honor of documenting your day! I wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else! It is so encouraging to see how y’all love each other and how your love the Lord! Congratulations on becoming Mr. & Mrs. and starting this new journey together! And I can’t wait to see where the Lord is going to take you!!
That bouquet was absolutely stunning! I love the soft colors and the greens! One of my favorite detail shots!
Brooke and her sweet momma! They nailed the “look and laugh” every single time!
I just can’t get over these colors! One of the sweetest moments of the whole day! If you look close, there’s tears running down everyone’s cheeks!
Favorite groom shot!
They’re MARRIED!
The way that she’s looking at him!! Such a fun bridal party!!
Can I shoot all white venues more often? I LOVE this one! Her veil!! Just a note to all future brides: long veils are THE way to go! The veil toss will forever be my favorite iconic shot! And veil for the win, again!
Cutest first dance!! Brooke’s sister couldn’t be at the wedding so they FaceTimed her in to give her matron of honor speech! Could they be any cuter?
I just love these two! Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey!!
