A Thursday night in Downtown Dayton on the Riverfront with a stunning couple, could anything be more perfect? I think not!! This engagement session is one of my absolute favorites! From the gorgeous little park nestled in the city to the long grass field as the sun was sinking low, everything just made my photographer’s heart skip a beat! Beyond the scenery though, Andrew and Brooke were what really made this night so amazing!! They exhibit such a love for each other that you just don’t see very often!
It was so fun reconnecting with Brooke during their session! Her and I met way back when we played soccer together as sixth graders in middle school! You could say we’ve grown up a bit since then! We played together on the same team for about two years before life took us in separate directions. But thanks to good ‘ole Facebook, we’ve stayed a bit connected over the years!
When Brooke first contacted me, she wasn’t even engaged yet! But not long after that first email, Andrew took her on a trip “down memory lane” complete with visits to the places that symbolized all the firsts and favorites in their relationship! Throughout the journey, he gave her the letters that she had written to him during their first year of college. At the end of the night, Andrew got down on one knee and asked Brooke to spend the rest of her life continuing the adventure they started together!
Andrew and Brooke met by the grace of God that showed up in a single moment when two people were in one room together! Now, those same two are getting married! And I could not be more excited for them! It is such an honor for me to walk alongside of couples during this special season of their lives! They are traveling the path that the Lord has mapped out for them and creating the foundation of a marriage that will last! Their wedding day next year at Polen Farm will be the celebration of such an incredible love and I just cannot wait!
