After a rain filled wedding season last year, I feel like a seasoned rain professional! And when the forecast began showing non stop showers throughout the day, I was prepping like I typically do. But most preparation was poured into prayer! I knew that Christine so wanted her ceremony outdoors and getting to use the beautiful spaces at her venue, however, it’s just not the way it turned out. But despite the weather and the disappointment, nothing dulled the joy that Christine exuded. You could tell in the way that the laughter rang in the hallways as we stepped off the elevator toward the getting ready room. You could see it in the way that she took in every moment and the smile never left her face. And the best representation came when they walked back down the aisle. Robert literally jumped for joy as he walked hand in hand with his new wife! It was the cutest thing! Just wait til you see it!

I think I explained all of this in their engagement session blog post, but I couldn’t just not talk about it again! Christine is so sweet! From the moment she emailed me about her wedding and just gushed over the fact that she thought we’d be a great match to when I walked into the bridal suite, her genuine spirit can make anyone’s day better! I can remember when we sat down at Triple Moon last fall and I got to know her and Robert for the first time! We could have talked for HOURS and I think that if I hadn’t have had a wedding later that day, we would have! We just instantly clicked. And honestly, that’s what I love most about all my #rachaelleighbrides. They’re all unique and genuine and we just get to be the best of friends! Christine and I connected on so many levels that when I arrived on her wedding day, I felt more like an old friend than the one hired to document it all!

Okay, back to the wedding! One of my favorite parts had to the “aisle moment”! When the doors flung open and Christine walked through with her arm looped through her dad’s, my eyes were locked on Robert. You could just see the anticipation and emotion flood his face. There was his bride! As she slowly made her way to him, the tears pouring down her cheeks, you could just feel the room fill with excitement! They had waited so long for this moment. So long to become husband and wife and the day was finally here! And what a day!! The best way to describe how they both felt about finally getting married is played out in the last few minutes! If you scroll through those ceremony pictures, you’ll see what I’m talking about! Robert literally leapt for joy as they were walking back up the aisle!

There are so many other things I could say about this wedding! And honestly, it’d probably be like a novel! But I’ll leave you with this! Md and I walked out of their wedding feeling just like part of the family! Robert and Christine welcomed us right in and so did each member of their family and the bridal party! It was such a joy to serve them all and just to celebrate this new season for Robert and Christine! Enjoy some of my very favorites from their day! And just remember (like always) there’s probably so many more!
