Getting to write this blog post for such a long awaited wedding celebration is simply, a joy. See, this wedding was supposed to happen back in December. But in the year of “supposed to’s” it was moved to the springtime. Which was such a beautiful representation of the joy that bloomed throughout the day! Taylor & Lauren chose to wait until they could have all the people they hold most dear there to witness and share in their wedding day and I think, that’s what made Saturday such a special one!
Okay, now let me tell you a bit about these two. For starters, you should know that Lauren shares in my ever-increasing love for novel length emails! From the very beginning, I got to get a glimpse of just how dear these two are through Lauren’s telling of their story and relaying all the things they’d already planned for their wedding! And all the things I’d already noticed in them were magnified through the words of their family and friends on so many occasions. You know that a relationship is remarkable when it’s praises are repeated time and again by those who get a front row seat to watching it grow. That. That is the foundation for Taylor & Lauren’s marriage that began on Saturday!
One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer is the friendships I get to build along the way. And the one I now share with Lauren is a direct result of her being a part of a wedding I photographed two years ago (Katie & Charlie’s Wedding)! It’s always so fun when a bridesmaid from one wedding trusts me to document her own! It also makes the day that much more fun because you have built in friends with some of the bridesmaids! On Saturday, that fun was basically multiplied x3 because another one of my Rachael Leigh Brides, Cori, who is getting married in September was also a bridesmaid! It was the most fun reunion and I loved how we were all there together to celebrate Lauren!
We couldn’t have asked for a better spring day in Covington, KY at The Madison for this wedding! And I’m sure by now you’re itchin to see this compilation of favorites that I’ve pulled together to tell Taylor & Lauren’s wedding story!
Congratulations again, friends! I’m so excited for you both to officially be husband and wife! Thanks for letting me come along this journey with y’all!
One more thing. I have to give credit to the entire vendor team for this wedding day!

The most fun group of gals! The girls got ready at Okota Event Venue in Covington and it now has me forever wishing for dreamy light and backgrounds like these in all bridal suites! Can we just make that a thing? Kay? Thanks. Lauren! You’re the cutest. The sweetest reveal with all the bridesmaids! I can still hear that reaction! This daddy/daughter first look was so sweet! Example a, b, c, + d of why I love long veils! They make for such beautiful portraits! Would you have known that this spot was basically a parking lot? No? Great! Because it was the best location for these portraits and paired so well with the wedding colors! THIS ONE. Gah. Showstopper, Lauren! I see you. The classiness of these dress + floral pairings is unreal. Another favorites! That “Lauren giggle” is just the best! She may or may not have forgotten her bouquet when she walked down the aisle. And this is the moment she realized it! The reaction and the lightheartedness this moment ushered into the ceremony was the best. The “just married” celebration moments are always so fun. Three Rachael Leigh Brides in one place had to be documented! So thankful to have each of these ladies in my life!
