The more that I photograph engagement pictures at Carriage Hill Metropark, the more I fall in love with it! Michael and Kacie’s session there on Saturday morning was absolutely beautiful! We picked it because Kacie wanted to honor her grandfather who spent many days fishing with her on the lake in his neighborhood. Carriage Hill allowed was the perfect spot to encompass everything she envisioned! We had such a fun time as we checked out some new spots at the park as well as some of my favorites!
As we explored, we chatted about our shared love for Marvel movies, the Greatest Showman and all about their two labs! Kacie and I came to the conclusion that 90% of the time a book is better than the movie! They shared so much about their adventures with their labs and we laughed at what it would be like to have their crazy yellow lab with us at their session or wedding day! They definitely have their hands full! Each detail of those adventures continually reminded me of the sweet chocolate lab I had growing up! And how labs will forever be one of my favorite dogs!
Michael and Kacie officially met when he was in sixth grade! He says that he’s been in love with Kacie since then, but she didn’t quite feel the same at that point because she said no when Michael had his friend ask her friend to ask her if she’d be his girlfriend! Thankfully a few years later when they both found themselves as counselors at Camp Kern, his chivalry and good heart reined true and she came around! They’ve been together for the last seven years and Michael proposed to Kacie at his college graduation last May!
Kacie shared so many details for her wedding with me! And I can’t wait to celebrate with them at Rosewood Manor in just two short months! Documenting their day will be such an honor and you definitely need to be awaiting that blog post! But until then, enjoy a few of my favorites from their session at Carriage Hill!
That classic black and white on the right! So pretty! Love this one! Especially the joy you can see! I’m pretty proud of that ring shot! Thanks Michael and Kacie for helping me find those leaves! ha ha!
I’ve wanted to get a reflection picture here for a long time! They’re so hard to get, especially on a rainy day! But so glad we could get a faint one here! Okay! This one! I was totally geeking out over this light! And I may have jumped around a bit after clicking the shutter on this one! There’s so many things about this that make me happy! Especially the glow filtering through the trees and the fence creating a leading line! More glow! We found another spot for a reflection! I also may have gotten a little too excited for this! I love this ring shot, too!!
