Alex and Maddie’s wedding day was special in so many ways. Especially since many that attended have watched their relationship grow since they were 10 and 12! You heard that right. These two got their beginnings in a community theatre rendition of High School Musical back in grade school. They didn’t start dating ’til high school, but the friendship that was kindled soon after Maddie said she called “dibs” on Alex to her friends way back when has blossomed so beautifully into the marriage that began on Sunday!
From the very beginning, I’ve been blown away by how sweet these two are! And how much they view marriage as a partnership, even the entire wedding planning part! When couple’s inquire with me, I typically ask them a few questions initially for us to push past wedding planning and chat a little more about their own story! It’s a fun way for the bride to recount her proposal with all the excitement as well as share more about who they are as people. And typically, the bride is the one sending all of these little details! But, Alex and Maddie did it a little different! They BOTH took the time to write their own perspectives on each question (not to mention label them!). I loved getting to know both of them from the very beginning and it made their engagement session as well as wedding day feel so much more genuine!
That same intentional spirit carried throughout their wedding day! And one of my favorite things it showed through was in their first look! Alex and Maddie chose to share a first look, which ended up being the best choice for them! They used that time not only to document his reaction to seeing her in her dress, but also to share their personal, hand-written vows with one another. Their love for one another runs deep, but deeper still is their love for Jesus. And that was so evident as they poured out their hearts through those words. It was probably my favorite moment of their entire day!
If you follow me on any form of social media, you should know at this point that iced lattes are a daily occurrence over here! And knowing that Alex and Maddie share that same love of coffee was always a talking point for us! But want to know what they did for their wedding? They had Vinyl Coffee Co. cater the coolest coffee bar for their reception! It was legit. They kept the entire reception, including both the photo and video team, fueled on caffeine the whole night! It was the best!
Alex and Maddie! Thank you for allowing me to walk through this season with y’all and to be the one to document it for you! It’s been a joy! Congratulations, again!! And enjoy scrolling through a few favorites from your day!
This vendor team was incredible! And a huge reason why the day went so well! Very thankful for them!
